I would like your comments on this business card I think would be a good idea to have for our networking group.

My reasons to have this:

  • It’s easy to promote our group
  • Our group looks more professional by having its own business card
  • If we’re promoting this group as being different, then having a card would definitely contribute to the idea.
  • Each members can buy 100 cards for $2, or some other amount we can agree on.
  • Card would be printed full-colour on both sides, with AQ coating (a semi-gloss, writable surface)

This is the front of the card:

This is the back:

I like it

I think this is a great idea! What a good way to build our group.

On another matter, I thought we were considering not making the group exclusive to business category….will you be going over the findings from our small group discussions last time we got together? I am curious to know what everyone else thinks about the evolution of the group.

Thanks – see you Friday.

Promotion is essential and business cards are the most proven form of advertsiement so there’s my answer

As I mentioned before I don’t agree with this business card. Our goal is to attract quality, not quantity!

I would be happy to participate and share the cost. Great idea!!

I’m not to sure about the usefulness of a card. If someone is interested enough to give a card to, then I would probably just invite them to a meeting and arrange to meet them there.

Also, I think the amount of information on the card needs to be reduced. It seems to be a bit busy.

I would have to agree with Manuela and Liz.

I think it would be a more professional way to present the group.
But it should be more of an invitation than a business card
inviting people to join a group of serious professionals offering business growth.
which hopefully would only attract more quality than quantity like Manuela suggests which is what we want.

I find the business cards for the networking group an excellent idea. They can also be used to promote the group as such. I believe that if a client has been happy with the job or service he got with one of us, he might just happen to take a look at the website next time he needs a local business, especially if he has the business card handy.

OK, I uploaded a new version of the BACK of the card, to look more like an invitation.

What do you think?

Camilla Nielsen November 4, 2008

I would like to “praise” the people in the group on the business card, e.g. along the following lines: You are cordially invited to join a group of commited business professionals. See our homepage for details of the next meeting”
Or more direct:
“Join a group of business professionals commited to improve their business – and yours!
Find member profiles as well as time and location for our next meeting at our webpage.”

I would further suggest that the same font is used on front and back.
